Digital Book World reports that Xist Publishing, a children's picture
book publisher based in Irvine, CA, is converting 104 eBook-only titles to print. The company reports that its titles with both
print and eBook versions sold more copies at higher prices. (The
company's decision makes sense in light of the BookStats numbers released today that
showed that eBooks comprised only 8% of Juvenile/YA fiction sales by
revenues in 2011. By not having print versions of 104 titles, Xist was
leaving a lot of money on the table.)
